Ryan International School, Sector 40

Ken Zens
Ryan International School, Sector 40 students were declared State champions at the Ken Ken International Championship, which was held at Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj. Parth Goel and Aradhya Jain of Class V and Sajda Moru of Class VII were certified as State champions and qualified for the National Level. Ken Ken, a Japanese grid-based numeral puzzle, was attempted for the first time by the mathematical geniuses of Ryan.

Road Safety Champs
Enhancing safety on the roads for kids should be one of the top priorities for all schools. Manav Rachna International School (MRIS 46) organised a three days Road Safety Workshop - Road Safety Champ, for its 5 to 13-year-olds.

Tuning In
The students of Class IV, Ryan International School, Sector 40 presented a Radio Jockey show on the value of the month, Graciousness. Riya and Aryan acted as Radio Jockeys.

Ryan International School, Sector 40 organised a Puppet Show for the students of Classes I & II. The children’s favourite cartoons characters - like Choota Bheem, Doremon, Chutki and many more - were shown in the form of attractive puppets. It was a story based puppet show through which the message of helpfulness was given. The School Head, Ms. Peeya Sharma encouraged the students to learn to narrate stories with the help of puppets.

Talking Cancer
The students of Jawahar Lal Nehru House of Ryan international School, Sector 40 presented a Radio Jockey show on World Cancer Day, to help raise the awareness of this dreaded disease and to encourage its prevention, detection and treatment. School Head Ms. Peeya Sharma encouraged the students to take care of their health and to have regular health check ups

Observing the Night Sky
The Astronomy Club of Ryan International School, Sector 40 organised an ‘observation’ for its members.The students were briefed on how to use the telescope effectively, witnessed Moon-watching through the 8” Dobsonian (200mm diameter, 1200mm focal-length) Telescope. About 200 parents had also been invited. The School Head Ms. Peeya Sharma stated, “Astronomy compels the soul to look upwards and leads us from this world to another.”

Au Revoir
Rotary Public School (RPS) bade farewell to the outgoing batch of year 2014-15 at the School Amphitheatre.
