Workshop on Montessori Aids

A workshop was conducted by Mrs.Lalita Trehan, the Founder-Director, for the teachers of the Junior Wing. A video show, 'A day in the Montessori Classroom', was also organised, which was followed by a discussion on the various teaching methods and aids - including their benefits and how they could be effectively implemented in the Montessori environment. Mrs.Trehan demonstrated the Seguin Board, the Colour Tablet, the Tens Board, and the Division and Multiplication Boards.

Ryanites Lift-off!

Ryan International School, Sector-40 organised a Hands-on Space Workshop for the students of Classes I & II. The students learnt exciting new concepts of astronomy and space sciences - including space vehicles. The most thrilling session for the students was  when they made their own rockets - and even launched them.

A 'Maha' Essay

Ryan International School, Sector 40 felicitated its young budding writer Manasvi Jain of Class IV, on her winning the 2nd and 12th prizes at the All India CBSE Essay Writing Competition on Mahatma Gandhi and Sanitation respectively. Manasvi received a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 2,500/- for each of the competitions.

Festive Air

The children of GPS presented a special assembly on the auspicious occasion of Christmas. The students of Class VII danced on ‘Joy for ever'.

A Navjyoti Disney

The CEO of Ryan Group of Institutions, Mr. Ryan Pinto, handed over the Disney Park to Dr. Kiran Bedi, Founder, Navjyoti Foundation, Naya Gaon. The project of Disney Park was undertaken by Ryan International School, Sohna Road (as one of the 10 schools selected for this) in partnership with Disney India and CMS, a Delhi based non-government think-tank that is working on a mission to restore and revitalise urban green spaces. CMS provides a platform for children & their families to take positive action for their communities and encourages them to become stewards of change. The Disney Park has: a jogging path; a play area for children, comprising a bamboo play house and a sand pit containing play material; a garden area, where children can grow their own vegetables, flowers and herbs; a discussion area with benches and grass for the elderly; a plant nursery with a green house, where saplings can be grown and sold; and a recharge well, for collecting rain water and recharging ground water.

Xmas Celebrations

Ryan International School, Sohna Road celebrated Christmas with Inter House Carol Singing, Decoration and Instrumental Music competitions. A play 'The Christmas Carols', highlighted the spirit of Christmas. Sarojini Naidu House bagged the First position in Decoration and Carol Singing, and Jawahar Lal Nehru House won the Instrumental Music competition.

World Scholar’s Cup 2014

Twelve students from Ryan International School, Sohna Road took part in Mumbai round of the World Scholar’s Cup. They participated in Debates, Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Challenge and Scholar’s Bowl. Ninety eight schools from all over India were a part of this two day event. Ryan Scholars bagged 28 medals (in individual performances) & 4 trophies (in team performances). In Debate, Ridhi Khurana, Utkarsh, Arnav Madan, Divyam Goel, Ananya Jhamb and Priyam Mahajan won medals. In Collaborative Writing, Utkarsh Gupta won the 3rd position. Shivam, Anshul and Adya Sharma achieved 7th. rank in the Scholar’s Bowl. Utkarsh Gupta was adjudged the highest scorer in Team Ryan. Prabhnoor Saluja attained the 10th. position in the Scholar’s Challenge.  Mayank Arya achieved 7th. rank in The World Scholar’s Cup . Ryan's two teams were placed among the five best teams of the World Scholar’ Cup. All the winners were felicitated by Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto and Mr. Ryan Pinto , the CEO of Ryan Group. The Ryan team has qualified for the global round of The World Scholar’s Cup, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur.

Winter Fest

There were many attractions at the winter fiesta at the Ryan International School, Sohna Road: Baby Show, Art Competition, Music & Dance and Games stalls (including Tambola, Lucky 7, Feed the Penguin & Bowling). There were stalls of handicrafts and mouth watering snacks and eatables Perceptions 2014, an Inter School event, was also organised along with various schools of the adjoining areas, and featured competitions like Mask Making, Dance, Food Art, Debate, Enactment, Solo Singing and Symposium.

Global Xmas

Christmas was a week long celebration at Ryan Global School. It started with various craft work done by the children: the entire School was festooned with the symbols of Christmas - including Santa caps, mittens, Christmas trees and bells. A Carol Singing competition was organised for the Primary wing - and the little Ryanites of the Montessori wing also sang carols.
