Ryan International School, Sector 40 celebrated World Post Day. Students were told of the importance of communication. The students of Class III presented the different means of communication over the ages - from pigeon and letter to a newspaper, telephone, radio, computer and mobile phone. The School Head Ms. Peeya Sharma emphasised that the students must update themselves with the latest technologies, but should not misuse them.



 

Mind It!

Commemorating World Mental Health Day, the Students of Class VII, Ryan International School, Sector 40 conducted a live Talk Show on the importance of brain health and the new-age issues resulting from the modern life style. The students spoke about the theme of 2014, ‘Living with Schizophrenia’, a mental disorder. Focusing on the benefits of Yoga for addressing this challenge, Gauri Agarwal demonstrated various meditation asanas - a now globally accepted form for the relaxation and development of the Body, Mind and Soul. Class III students also presented an inspiring skit on Meditation.



Preaching a Good Diwali

Ryan International School, Sector 40 conducted an Inter House English Declamation Competition on the topic, ‘Dos and Don’ts of Diwali’, for the students of Class I.  The Competition was judged on the basis of Introduction, Presentation and Props. The students emphasised the need to celebrate a safe & an environmentally healthy Diwali.

Save the Animals

The extinction of various animal species is a threat that can disturb the balance of nature and can harm our environment. Global Ryanites highlighted this and also focused on the different preventive measures that can be adopted to save the endangered species. School Head Ms. Andrea Martin encouraged the Ryanites to help save Nature.



Sporting Talent

Hritik Chawla of Class - IXE, Ryan International School, Sohna Road, won a Gold medal in the 5km Road Race and a Silver medal in the 500m Sprint Rink Race, in the Boys Under 16 category, at the CBSE North Zone II Championships. He has qualified for the CBSE Nationals. Principal Ms. Rashmi Prakash felicitated Hritik at Assembly.


American Montessori Public School



Learning to Recite

For children, reciting poems is a fun way of learning. A Hindi Recitation session was held for the students of Montessori IV.



Fancy Characters

Fancy Dress Competition was held for the students of Classes I and II at the American Montessori Public School. The children, dressed in various ‘avatars’ (including a drop of water and a poly bag), also spoke about the ‘character’ they were dressed in.

 


 

National Scientist
U
nder the ‘Inspire’ scheme of the Govt of India , an exhibition was organised at Pragati Maidan. After qualifying at the first two levels (District and State), Chiranjiv Bharati School (CBS), Palam Vihar entered the Nationals, where around 900 exhibits were displayed from all parts of the country. CBS was declared the proud Winner, from among the top 20 models that were selected.The CBS Exhibit was an ‘Expandable Car’, which was explained by Ojal Saharan of Class XI under the guidance of Mrs. Sangeeta Saxena. The student was awarded a Prize and a Merit certificate by Minister of Science and Technology, Jitender Singh.
